How are recipients determined?
The Foundation determines, on an annual basis, how many scholarships will awarded for the year, and then the recipients are determined by a lottery system.
If I win, how much scholarship money will I receive?
You will know the amount of the scholarship you could potentially win when you are filling out the application for the scholarship category you choose.
If I win, is my scholarship taxable?
Scholarships that are awarded are typically not considered taxable income. However, we recommend you ask that specific question to your tax accountant.
If I win, does the amount I receive in a scholarship affect my eligibility for financial aid?
Since there are so many different types of financial aid available, we recommend that you ask the specific institution you are applying to for financial aid to answer your question.

What are my chances of receiving a scholarship?
Essentially, your odds of winning a scholarship is determined each year by how many applications are submitted and how many scholarships are given away.

The Foundation knows that notifying winners is very important and works expeditiously to notify each winner shortly after the drawing.

If there are any fees accessed by the Foundation you will be notified at the time you apply for a scholarship.

Scholarships are awarded on a lottery system. Your name is entered into a pool along with all other applicants, and a name(s) is randomly drawn.
What is the difference between a lottery scholarship and a merit scholarship?
Each company determines their specific criteria of each type, but the Foundation uses the lottery system and essentially, all applicants names are entered into a pool, and a name(s) is randomly drawn.
Do I need a minimum GPA to qualify and do I need to maintain a minimum GPA if I’m awarded a scholarship?
At this time the Foundation does not ask for a minimum GPA to qualify.
